Meaning a "cropped hill" or "a hill rising to a peak"

Coppull is a Lancashire village that sits approximately 300 feet above sea level.

The village is bounded by Whittle brook, Clancutt brook, the river Yarrow, Eller brook, Hic-Bibi brook and Stars brook.

Stars brook is one of only five streams in Britain, and the only one in Lancashire, that actually flows away from the sea!
